For decades, youth centres have been at the heart of communities offering places where young people can find safety, belonging, and trusted adults. But years of declining investment left many buildings cold, leaking, outdated, or on the brink of closure.  

That’s why the UK Government created the Youth Investment Fund, providing over £300 million to rebuild and expand youth facilities in England where they were needed most. The ambition was to ensure every young person has someone to talk to, something to do and somewhere safe to go.

Over the last three plus years we’ve worked round the clock to support over 270 youth organisations complete and open their buildings. The impact is far greater than we could have imagined. More than one in seven young people will live within walking distance of a youth club that has been built or renovated by the Youth Investment Fund.
