Before the Youth Investment Fund, The Florrie did not have a dedicated youth space, so young people had to share facilities with the wider community. Capital funding has now created a vibrant, dedicated space for young people.

CEO Anne Lundun says the Central Support Offer (CSO) has been invaluable. She adds that The Florrie has probably received more expert support than all the youth centres put together. It has helped the organisation tackle issues it had previously struggled with. The expert support and training have helped them to:

  • access more revenue funding
  • improve marketing
  • develop recruitment pathways
  • carry out a needs analysis
  • unlock new partnerships

Summing up, Anne says: “The Youth Investment Fund team has been amazing – thank you, YIF!”
