Calling all young people: What’s Your Order for the New National Youth Strategy?

We’re reaching out to all the amazing youth services we work with and the young people you support.

As the delivery partner for the Youth Investment Fund, Social Investment Business wants to encourage as many young people as possible to get involved with shaping the Government’s new National Youth Strategy. The ambition is to create a new decade-long National Youth Strategy to tackle the challenges young people face and ensure that every young person can thrive.

We believe that it should be the norm for every young person to make a positive difference in society, and we are committed to making that a reality by supporting young people to get involved in shaping the National Youth Strategy. We need your help to reach young people and make their voices count.

We’d love you to get involved and encourage the young people you work with to shape the National Youth Strategy. Their voices, ideas, and actions are vital in shaping inclusive, forward-thinking communities and Government.

About the National Youth Strategy Deliver You Campaign

Working with partners, #iWill Movement, My Life My Say and Savanta, DCMS, has created a national campaign across England called Deliver You. It launched on 5 March 2025. The campaign, co-produced with young people, is an exciting opportunity for young people to share their views, experiences, and ideas, and to tell the Government what really matters to them.

The campaign is inspired by online food delivery services and focuses on encouraging young people aged 10-21 (25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to ‘Place their Order’ with the government about youth services. Young people will also have the chance to take part in one of 6 regional in-person events, to start to shape the solutions.

There are lots of different ways that young people and youth services can help shape the National Youth Strategy

  • Encourage young people to complete a short online survey. It’s open until 16 April 2025. The survey is anonymous.
  • Support the campaign by sharing the posts on socials using the hashtags #DeliverYou #WhatsYourOrder
  • Ask young people to share their views by creating a social media post or reel about the one thing the Government can Deliver You.
  • ‘Take orders’ by running fun sessions with young people and sharing their views with DCMS – open until 16 May.
  • Young people can join a series of in–person solution focused Hacks (1 April until 8 May – more details to come).
  • Share what your organisation has done to support young people to ‘Place their order’ with the Government – showcasing how you’ve promoted your youth networks to take part and encouraging others to do the same.
